Gerardo A. Vazquez, Esq.
Mr. Vazquez has over twenty years experience advising entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals, and family offices from the United States, Latin America, Caribbean and Europe. His practice focuses on the resolution of complex situations; which include structuring investment vehicles and platforms, formation of U.S., offshore and foreign business entities, strategic alliances, commercial transactions, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. Mr. Vazquez also provides abundant experience in domestic and international financing, sales and acquisitions of goods and capital equipment, with an emphasis on aircraft, agricultural commodities and heavy earth moving machinery. He has spoken frequently on matters related to foreign investment in the U.S. real estate, acquisitions of U.S. based business concerns and tax issues related thereto; including conferences in Latin America.
Complementary to his transactional practice Mr. Vazquez also represents clients in litigation and arbitration of international and domestic disputes in various state and federal forums. This includes representation before arbitration panels of the International Chamber of Commerce, International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association and the Swiss Chamber’s Arbitration Institution.
Mr. Vazquez also gained a substantial amount of experience in niche practice areas, such as the registration of foreign operated U.S. registered aircraft and obtaining FAA approval, U.S. import/export control regulations and compliance with International Trafficking in Arms Regulations, international trade and shipping practices, and purchase and finance of agriculture commodities. He has also been a FAA licensed pilot for over 30 years, giving him additional experience and knowledge regarding aviation law issues.
Prior to earning his law degree in 1993, Mr. Vazquez worked in earth moving and mining machinery sector – providing machinery such as Caterpillar, Mitsubishi and Komatsu to international business entities. This experience provides him with the ability to apply legal concepts to the reality of any clients business setting.
Mr. Vazquez was born and raised in Miami, Florida but spent many years living abroad in both South America and Europe. He attended the American College of Switzerland and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Miami. He attended the Universtiy of Miami School of Law and completed his law degree from St. Louis University School of Law.

Represented the buyers and sellers of commercial and residential real estate transactions in total value in excess of $1.1 billion dollars.
Represented numerous international and domestic corporations with the purchase and sale of corporate aircraft.
Represented a Spanish financial institution with acquisition of a U.S. bank.
Representation of an Argentine investment fund with establishing a U.S. based financing and leasing entity.
Representation of a Mexican company with preparing design and build agreements with a U.S. shipyard to fabricate and outfit ships used to offload cruise ship passengers.

Successfully represented an international mining company in a Federal Court action seeking damages against a U.S. distributor of mining equipment.
Successfully represented a Venezuelan helicopter operator in seeking the release of a helicopter component seized by U.S. Department of Homeland Security for alleged ITAR violations.
Represented a foreign investor in Federal Court seeking damages due to loss of investment as an equity partner in a Miami Beach condominium development.
Represented a seafood distributor defending a class action claim seeking damages from FLSA violations.
